Snoring Causes Death!

Snoring or 'snoring' for most people was common. Apparently, a trivial habit that can cause health problems lead to death.

Many people do not realize that snoring is not just a social problem but could become a serious health problem.

In addition to loud snoring sound is very annoying friend to sleep, heavy snorers generally impaired breathing obstruction during sleep (obstructive sleep apnea / OSA) that resulted in hentian breath that can occur up to several hundred times a night.

If you happen every day, this can cause various diseases including cardiovascular system disorders such as high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, heart failure, transient ischemic attact and stroke.

According to The American Academy of Head and Neck Surgery, what you hear when someone is snoring is the result of some form of blockage that prevents air flow through the mouth or nose. The blockage was, however slight, can cause airway tissue vibrate and flap against each other so that crackled.

Dr Volker Schilling, the surgeon's head and throat clinic in the district Vivantes Neukoelln, Berlin, said there are about 30 million Germans are expected to snorers. The habit is not only annoying, but rather keep the risk of health problems that led to death.

When muscles in the palate and uvula (part of the ceiling that extends from the top to the base to the tongue) in a relaxed state, they can vibrate which produces a noise when the snorer breathes.

As reported by the Mayo Clinic, conditions that can cause a person snoring include being overweight, dinner in the late evening before going to sleep, which causes the body to digest at the moment busy working person sleep at night.

Snoring, but can be caused due to certain factors, it was purring can also be caused by a very serious disorder that is sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a condition that occurs in the upper respiratory tract that causes cessation of activity for a few seconds benapas approximately equal to 90 seconds. Such conditions, will make the muscle fell backwards and into the throat and blocking the entry of air.

"The situation closed air inlet causes a lack of oxygen in the blood," Schilling said, adding that people who experience it and then his muscles go into spasm so the tension that makes people who had slept soundly into sleep restless and easily awakened.

Here are tips on healthy habits reduce snoring:
1. Lose weight. If you are overweight, lose a little can reduce snoring by widening the space in your respiratory tract.
2. Sleeping at the same hour every night and sleep usahan longer.
3. Sleep facing one side of the body, not your back with your back downstairs. If you have trouble sleeping like this, jahitlah a shirt pocket at the back of your pajamas and put tennis balls in it. That way, you will not sleep with her back under.
4. Avoid alcohol and sedatives before bed. Alcohol and sedatives can relax the throat muscles so they can narrow the breathing passages.
5. Stop smoking. Smoking will cause inflammation and swelling of the throat.
6. Raise the head of your bed up to 4-6 inches by putting bricks under the foot of the bed.
7. Limit respiratory problems, such as nasal congestion due to colds or allergies.
8. If your nose clogged, you can clean the respiratory tract in the nose by using medications such as decongestant and spray. This could open the airway, improving airflow and reducing snoring. But do not forget, decongestant that is used by way of breathing can not be used for the long term.
9. Choose the pillow harder. Pillows are too soft will make the muscles of the throat are too relaxed so that narrows the airways.
